Stacy and Joe welcomed their first born, Elizabeth Ann, to the world on July 24th, and what a cutie she is! She was awake and alert for most of the session, so we got plenty of shots of her pretty blue eyes. We also included the couple’s sweet pup, who Joe has had since college. I say it every time, but I just love including the fur babies in family portraits, because they’re family, too! Also, I can only hope I look as great as you did just a couple weeks after having a baby, Stacy — you were glowing! I wish you and your new family all the best!

It’s always the biggest honor for me to photograph and document a special time in close friends’ lives, and not much tops them bringing home their firstborn baby! Shannon and I have been friends since just after college, lived together, and were in each others’ weddings. Seeing her and her sweet husband David become parents (especially because we’re just a few months behind them) has been such a fun thing to be a part of. Nolan has a head of hair and is so cute and snuggly. I’m so excited to watch our little ones grown up together!

Miss Peyton’s nursery was one that I sort of wanted for myself — she even has a teepee just begging to be played in! I loved the white and metallic theme to the room, and I’m sure she’s going to love growing up in this space over the years. Her mom had so many fun ideas, including using her wedding gown as a backdrop. Peyton is a sweet little angel baby who is very, very loved!

It’s an absolute pleasure to introduce our dear friends Courtney and Joey’s first baby, their son Andrew, who will be known as Drew. I’ve said it before, but I cannot describe the joy and honor I feel when friends and family choose me to document their happiest moments in life — and a newborn baby tops them all! I’m thrilled that we’ll have a little one of our own who is will less be than 6 months younger than Drew. It’s going to be so fun watching them grow up together.
And I couldn’t help but include the last photo… big sister Bailey gave us a good laugh with her funny pose. Gotta love puppy children!

Can you believe that head of hair on little miss Meyers? She was the sweetest during her newborn session last month, and her puppy sibling just adored her and had a field daysniffing  sniffing all of my props. 🙂 I love when clients ask to include their fur babies in sessions, because I firmly believe that they’re family, too.
