Smith Family – Woodstock | Atlanta Family Photographer

A warm summer morning at a new shooting location in Woodstock amidst kayakers, hikers, and fishermen made for a fun mini session with the Smith family. I love watching siblings interact in front of the camera, and these three were no exception. These sisters are sweet as pie and warmed right up to me when they arrived. Little brother took a little longer to feel comfortable, but heĀ he had the cutest little smile and was right at home in mom and dad’s arms. Middle sister is known as “the wild one,” and I’d believe it after her little solo hike up the rocky path to “go exploring up the mountain.” Such a cutie with no shortage of personality. šŸ™‚ I adored theĀ girls’ matching bows and dresses and their obvious love for their little brother. What a lucky guy he is! Enjoy these woodsy summer session highlights.

Sadie Kate’s 6 Month Mini Milestone Session – Johns Creek | Atlanta Family Photographer

Miss Sadie Kate is 6 months! How did that happen? This was our 2nd milestone session, and it’s been fun seeing how much she’s grown in 3 months. I just adore this family, and I look forward to documenting this little lady’s growth throughout the rest of her first year!

Baby Awsumb’s Newborn Session – Old Fourth Ward | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

After meeting Kate and Brian at their maternity session, I knew we were in for moreĀ excitementĀ once baby Awsumb arrived. They are easily one of the most fun couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with, and what a great way to start off 2015! It was so neat getting to not only document this new family of 3 (plus Waldo!), but being able to includeĀ Kate’s parents, who were in town from Minnesota to meetĀ their beautiful granddaughter. We had a ball pulling out random props (like Kate’s tennis racket) as well as moreĀ sentimental items (like Brian’s “it’s a girl!” hat and each of their childhood stuffed animals) to add some personality and meaning to their photos. Also, this is the first time I’ve ever had a client put on an impromptuĀ guitar performance during our session! I think it’s pretty easy to see the pure joy beaming from both of their faces. Congratulations, Awsumb family!
