Landon turned one at the end of 2015, so of course it had to be documented with a Dawg-themed smash cake! It’s always fun getting to work with friends from college and watching their sweet families grow over the months and years, and the Rays are no exception. Landon and his big sister Abby were an absolute delight!
Leslie and Matt are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their little lady, who they’re naming Olivia. I went down to Peachtree City to shoot their maternity session at their home, which I love to do… seeing how clients have decorated their babies’ nurseries is one of my favorite things! Their 2 German Shepherds were so excited to meet someone new and be included in the photos, too. I can’t wait to meet miss Olivia when she arrives soon!
November and December… the most wonderful time of the year! Also the busiest for family photographers. 🙂 With a newborn and an abundant amount of photo sessions on my plate this fall, I’m quite behind on blogging. So here’s a little peak at what I’ve been up to… family holiday sessions galore! I’m so grateful for my dear clients who have trusted in me to capture their beautiful families each year. 2015 was an incredible year for Melissa Hayes Photography, and I’ve so enjoyed sharing it with all of you!
These families are some of my favorites, and their extended family session is one I look forward to each year. They include two of our very dear friends and their kids, as well as her sister’s family and their parents. There are currently 5 kids with another one on the way, and they range in age from 6 years (twins) to 1 year. I adore these cute little cousins and their love for one another, which is pretty evident in these photos. At the end of the session, they got to play on the playground, and I love the shot of Charlotte holding onto her dolly while playing with her older siblings and cousin. She didn’t want to let her out of her sight! What a fun morning. Can’t wait for Redmond baby #3 to join the fun next year!
I have had the pleasure of getting to know Julie through my other business, Stella & Dot. She’s been a fellow Stylist for years now and is one of the sweetest mamas! Last fall, we did a family session just weeks before their daughter Molly was born, and it was so fun to see how much she’s grown in a year! Molly and Ellie looked adorable in their purple outfits… I asked Ellie if I could have her fabulous tulle skirt, but she wasn’t too keen on parting with it. 😉 Maybe Santa will bring me one of my own…
