December Holiday Mini Sessions | Atlanta Family Photographer

I finished out the last month of the year with three more family sessions, and miraculously, we even got some leaves on the trees for some of them!  These two blonde-haired, blue-eyed brothers and their parents at the top of this post were such a joy to shoot — tons of laughter, leaf-tossing, hugs, and running around. I had another sibling duo — a big sister and little brother — who had so much fun jumping, running, and exploring while we shot at Dunwoody Nature Center. It’s amazing to see how big they’ve gotten since I did my first session with them in spring ’15. I wrapped up with an extended family session for one of my favorite groups of people. The adult kids surprised their mom/mother-in-law with a family session ON her birthday — what a thoughtful, long-lasting, wonderful gift to give someone you love.  Sessions like all of these make me so happy!

Reagan’s Newborn Session – Buckhead | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Reagan Elizabeth was born just after Thanksgiving, bringing her family an extra special reason to give thanks this year! We spent the afternoon hanging out in her beautiful nursery, and she was just as sweet as she looks here. Tiny fingers and toes, big blue eyes, and a Santa hat… doesn’t get much more merry.  This was my last newborn session of 2016, and what a please it was! I’m looking forward to meeting more babies in the coming new year!

November Holiday Mini Sessions, Part 2 | Atlanta Family Photographer

I rounded out November with a lot more family sessions at some of my favorite local parks. We’ve been fortunate to have a pretty mild fall and early winter, so I was pleasantly surprised to see beautiful leaves still on the trees throughout the month. That was definitely not the case this time last year! I love seeing these families year after year and meeting new members who have been added in, as well as doing larger, extended family sessions to include the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Those large family portraits are such a special gift for multiple generations to enjoy, which just can’t be beat. I hope y’all have fun taking a peek at these cute families! Leona’s 1 Year Milestone Session – East Atlanta | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

It seems like just a few months ago that I was invited over to Leona’s home to photograph her as a teeny tiny newborn. And now here we are, celebrating a spunky little one year old! It was fun to come full circle with another session at their home. Miss Leona is quite the busy girl — throughout our session, she was constantly standing, walking with the help of mom and dad, and hanging out in the little rocking chair I’d brought (it’s always the biggest hit with the little ones!). And our photos wouldn’t have been complete without including her puppy sisters, who made an appearance in some of my favorite newborn shots of their family. Happy 1st birthday, Leona!!

November was busy busy busy! I adore this time of year, though, because it allows me the opportunity to see a lot of my favorite clients in a short amount of time. It’s so fun to see how much their children have grown from year to year, and it’s even more fun when said kiddos have such adorable expressions. One cutie pie blondie told me “I’m a princess!” as soon as they got to their session. Who knew I’d be in the presence of royalty in the middle of a local park? 😉 I hope you enjoy some of these early November highlights as much as I enjoyed taking them!
