Rhys’ 1st Birthday Party – Mableton | Atlanta Childrens Photographer

This adorable little guy turned one earlier this month, and I had the pleasure of photographing his party with all of his nearest and dearest family and friends. You would never know that Rhys made his entrance into the world a whopping ten weeks early; he is truly a miracle baby for his parents… and he’s also such a little flirt! 😉 I had the best time getting to know his parents, as well as his grandparents, cousins, and friends who came out to celebrate his first year. They jumped in the bounce house, blew bubbles, and even had a surprise appearance by a very slithery party guest at the back of the yard (thank goodness it didn’t decide to come any closer for cake!). Rhys was a trooper with his cake smash and ended up completely covered in blue icing, so I’ll say it was a success. Happy 1st birthday, Rhys! I hope this year brings you and your family all sorts of new adventures!

Jack’s Newborn Session – Marietta | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Meet Jack! He is simply precious, from his pretty head of hair to his sweet disposition. I’ve known his mama, Meredith, for a few years now, and she truly is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Her maternity session was so dreamy and gorgeous, and their newborn session did not disappoint, either. Jack’s nursery is bright and airy and has too many lovely details to mention. I loved the framed name prints over his crib and the giant metal basket holding the many swaddle blankets they have been gifted. And that industrial light/fan combo? Swoon. I could have hung out in this serene space all day. Big fur sister Penny was so gentle and sweet during our session, and I just adore the shots we got her of with her new brother. Enjoy a look at Jack’s newborn portraits.

Carolina’s 1 Year Milestone Session – Suwanee | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

Carolina turned one in May and is the happiest little girl. Her mom Nikki told me that one of the reasons they moved out to Gwinnett was for the parks, and I can see why. We shot on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at one of their nearby parks, and I just couldn’t get enough of this cutie. To say she LOVED the balloons we used would be an understatement… we almost couldn’t get them away from her until we brought out her smash cake, which was probably equally as exciting for her. 😉 She was absolutely covered in pink icing when we finished! My kind of girl! Carolina is also getting ready to become a big sister this fall, and I love that we were able to capture some shots of her with mama and her baby bump. Such an exciting year coming up for the M family!

Coleman’s Newborn Session – Chamblee | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

I was so excited to meet Coleman for his newborn session! His mom, Anna, was one of my first friends in college (we lived on the same hall in an all girls dorm), and we’ve kept in touch with a small group of girlfriends ever since. It’s hard to believe we’ve been friends for almost 16 years, and now we’re growing our own little families. Time sure does fly, doesn’t it?

Coleman is named after two of his grandmothers, which I just adore. He was awake and bright-eyed for most of our session, but he thoroughly enjoyed being wrapped up and held by each of his parents. Anna and Joseph chose to use a couple baby blankets that had been given to them, as well as a beautiful day gown made by Joseph’s mother. I love being able to include sentimental items in photos that will be remembered and looked back upon by them and their families for years to come. Enjoy some of my favorite shots from Coleman’s first session!

Reagan’s Newborn Session – Johns Creek | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Being invited back to a family’s home to photograph their newest addition is one of the most sincere compliments I can receive. The P family welcomed Reagan right around her big sister’s 2nd birthday, and it’s hard to believe it has already been 2 years since I was with them photographing her newborn session. Mama Rebecca clearly has a talent for decorating nurseries, and I am in love with both of her girls’ rooms!  Sweet, subtle themes that incorporate a lot of white… and lots of great natural light — a photographer’s dream! I also adore the flowy tent hanging in the corner. Can’t we all have one of those in our rooms? Reagan was a sleepy angel and couldn’t have been easier to work with. It’s clear that she’s very loved by her parents and big sis!
