Valentine’s Day… what better time to photograph a beautiful mama-to-be than a day celebrating love? I met Caroline and John at their beautiful home in Virginia Highlands. The clients’ home is my favorite spot to shoot maternity portraits because it’s the place they’re the most comfortable! I also just adore seeing parents-to-be in their baby’s nursery, filled with anticipation and excitement for their little one on the way. They and their puppy Abby were so sweet and easy to work with, and it made me super excited to come back for their baby boy’s newborn session in March… photos coming soon!

A Baby Announcement! – Buckhead | Atlanta Family Photographer

Ashley and Adam have been two very dear friends of ours for years now. I went to UGA with them, and we’ve grown up with each other over the past decade or so. When Ashley asked me to be a part of their pregnancy announcement, I was thrilled and honored! Being able to document the special times in the lives of those I love and care about is one of the reasons I do what I do, and this was no exception.

They have a great backyard (which is hard to come by in Buckhead), so we used that as the backdrop for their surprise announcement. They’re huge Georgia fans (Ashley was a cheerleader, too!), so it was only fitting that we use red and black tailgate chairs. How cute is that little baby chair? She also gathered some of her younger brother’s baby clothes, which were absolutely perfect, because they’re having a BOY! They made their announcement a couple months ago, and it’s hard to believe that baby boy McDowell will be here in just a few months. We can’t wait to meet him!

Spring Mini Sessions 2016

Now that the weather is warming up and the trees are blooming, it’s the perfect time to get your family together for some spring portraits!  After some inquiries about mini sessions for families, I’m going to be doing Spring Mini Sessions in April and May. Here’s how they will work:
DATE/LOCATION #1: Sunday, April 10th at Whittier Mill Park in Northwest Atlanta (just inside 285 off South Cobb)
TIMES:
5pm
5:45pm
6:30pm
DATE/LOCATION #2: Sunday, May 15th at Tanyard Creek Park/Northside Beltline Trail (off Collier Rd in Buckhead)
TIMES:
9:30am
10:15am — BOOKED
11am
WHAT’S INCLUDED: 30 minute session for up to 5 people; 15 digital images with printing/posting rights; $10 print credit
COST: $175
To book your spot, please email me with the date/time slot you’d prefer, as well as a 2nd option in case your first choice has already been booked. A $50 deposit is required to secure your spot (will be deducted from $175 total). More details on a meeting spot, parking, etc. will be sent closer to the session date. I look forward to working with you this Spring!

Kelley + Cole’s Engagement Session – Ponce City Market | Atlanta Engagement Photographer

Kelley and Cole are getting married next year, and they could not be a cuter couple! We met up at Ponce City Market last month, and we had the best time exploring the property. It’s such a cool place, and I loved getting to check it out… it’s got so many great spots for photos! I hear that the next phase is the rooftop, which sounds really fun. I can’t wait to go back to try their restaurants/food stands and shop some more. Kelley and Cole, thank you for allowing me to photograph your engagement session — it was a blast!

Leslie’s Maternity Session – Peachtree City | Atlanta Maternity Photographer

Leslie and Matt are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their little lady, who they’re naming Olivia. I went down to Peachtree City to shoot their maternity session at their home, which I love to do… seeing how clients have decorated their babies’ nurseries is one of my favorite things! Their 2 German Shepherds were so excited to meet someone new and be included in the photos, too. I can’t wait to meet miss Olivia when she arrives soon!
