Foster Family Session – Westside | Atlanta Family Photographer

The Fosters are about to add another member of the family this winter! So last weekend, we got together last weekend for a little family session to commemorate their time as a family of three. Miss Ellie was the best as saying “CHEESE!” — and when asked to tell a secret to her daddy during photos, she loudly whispered “I LOVE YOU!” for all of us to hear. So cute. I think this little sweetie is going to be a wonderful big sister!

Hadfield Family Session – Buckhead | Atlanta Family Photographer

I met up with the Hadfield family last weekend for a session at Lenox Park in Buckhead. I was so worried that it would be freezing after the crazy cold spell that had come through the area, but the weather could not have been more beautiful. Little Bennett and Madison were delightful and so sweet, and we had the best time running around the park, blowing bubbles, and taking advantage of the cool morning air.

Kristina’s Maternity Session – Westside | Atlanta Maternity Photographer

I’ve been so excited for this session with parents-to-be Kristina and Mike. Why? Maybe because I’ve been friends with Kristina since the very beginning of our freshman year when we lived on the same dorm hall — and I’ve known Mike since college as well. Maybe because they’re adorable and so sweet and I just can’t wait to meet their little bundle of joy, Molly June, who is due in less than 2 weeks.

We shot their maternity session over on the Westside of Atlanta, which they (and I) love thanks to the great restaurants, shops, and fun vibe. I remembered the “Atlanta Made” wall mural/sign for a local shop over in that area and suggested doing some photos there… kinda perfect for their Atlanta-made baby, right? Equally as perfect was a trip over to Jeni’s Ice Cream, which has been Kristina’s big-time craving throughout her pregnancy. Mike was really in the zone with his ice cream cone, and it was so much fun working with them (and eating some Riesling Poached Pear Sorbet, too!). Enjoy!

Seyfred Family + Newborn Lifestyle Session – Tucker | Atlanta Family Photographer

Sarah and Jonathan just had their 3rd child, Ellison Claire, last month. Their son Grayson is six, and their daughter Isabella is just 14 months, so to say that they have their hands full is quite the understatement! My husband is childhood friends with Jonathan, and I actually met him at the beginning of our time at UGA back in 2001 — way before I knew Craig! It’s quite fun to see him with all these kids running (and crawling) around, and I was thrilled to come to their home last weekend to photograph a true lifestyle session for them. Sarah was clear that they’re not “baby in a basket” kind of people (although we did get in a few shots), and they definitely didn’t need any photos of Ellison in that frilly pink tutu I brought along. 🙂 So we kept it real and just shot them as they all naturally interacted and went about their night, including Jonathan cooking a delicious meal of “trailer trash” fried chicken tacos. It was a refreshing, fun evening, and I’m so glad they asked me to document this time for their growing family. There certainly is no shortage of love in the Seyfred house!

Emmy’s Newborn Session – Buckhead | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Meet Emmy Frances – she was just five days old and the sweetest, softest little bundle of joy. It was adorable to witness the excitement that her older brothers Davis and Jack already have about their baby sister — they even sang her a lullaby called “You Are My Baby” to the tune of “You Are My Sunshine.” So cute! Also — a really sweet story I wanted to share: Emmy’s mom Katy told me that the blanket we used in the basket photos below was knitted by her grandfather — yep, her grandfather. Katy’s grandmother, who loved to knit, passed away long before Katy ever had children, so when their first child (Davis) was born, he took knitting classes and learned to make this blanket in Katy’s grandmother’s honor! How incredibly thoughtful is that? Enjoy a peak at Miss Emmy and her beautiful family!
