Charlie’s 1 Year Milestone Session – Morningside | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

I’ve been spending time with Charlie’s family since he was in his mommy’s belly, and it’s been such a joy to see him grow over the past year! Being a part of a baby’s first year and getting to watch them grow from a tiny newborn to a fun, happy toddler is one of my favorite things about being a family photographer. There are so many milestones reached throughout that first year, and I think that turning “one” is the most exciting of them all. Charlie is a calm and happy little guy, and he was just learning to walk on his own when I photographed his one year session last month. He was also an expert cake smasher, which I can totally relate to. 🙂 Happy 1st birthday, Charlie!

Leighton’s 18 Month Milestone Session – Whittier Mill Park | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

Our darling girl is 18 months today — halfway to being a two year old! I just can’t believe it. We went to Whittier Mill Park, one of my favorite hidden gems for photo sessions, to get some fun shots of how much our girl has changed since her one year session in September (and our family holiday photos in October). I think the most noticeable difference is that she’s finally getting some hair! Hallelujah! The park is tucked back into a neighborhood just a few minutes from our house, and we love to visit the playground here when the weather is nice. She is getting so brave — climbing the stairs on the jungle gym all by herself and choosing to slide down the biggest slide there. And those baby blues… they’re going to make a lot of trouble for us one day, I’m sure. Her personality is growing by the day, and we love her more than we ever thought possible. Enjoy!

Gavin’s Newborn Session – Avondale Estates | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

The B family has recently grown by one… an adorable, squishy little guy named Gavin! I had the honor of photographing big sister Tyler a couple years ago after she was born, and it’s amazing to now see her doting on her little brother. This session was sweet and happy, filled with laughs and some jumping on the bed — and of course lots of snuggles with baby boy. Congrats on your beautiful new addition, Dana and Stephen! He’s perfect.

Ellis’ 6 Month Milestone Session – Lenox Park | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

Is Ellis not one of the most precious, cherub-like babies you’ve ever seen?? He has big blue eyes, the most amazing blonde hair (that is usually in a self-imposed mohawk), and is the smiliest little guy, as you can see from the photos. I met up with his parents, who have been dear friends of mine for many years now, at Lenox Park in the heart of Buckhead. Adam used to live in an apartment across from the park (with my husband) and Ashley used to run there, so it was a very fitting spot for some family portraits. You’d never know that Ellis didn’t nap that morning and only snuck in a few minutes of snoozing on the way to the session. He is just such a joy to everyone he meets! We had such a fun morning together, and I am so excited to share these images with you guys. I mean, who can resist a baby boy in suspenders or a bow tie?

A Woodland Chic Baby Shower

Last weekend, I co-hosted a baby shower for my brother and my sister-in-law, who are expecting their first baby in April. It’s hard to believe that we’re that far along in our lives that my little brother is about to become a dad (!!), but I was honored and so excited to be a part of throwing this shower for them. I joined forces with her two childhood best friends, who are some of the sweetest, most fun and creative ladies I know.

The chosen theme was woodland chic, and we hosted at my brother’s in-laws’ beautiful home, which looks like an art gallery (her dad is a very talented, self-taught artist). We had so much fun running with this theme, and I think it turned out beautifully. We incorporated a trail mix bar for guests to make party favors, and we used the cutest little teepee to hold gifts, and it’ll later be added to baby boy’s nursery.

I photographed the shower, and I couldn’t resist sharing some shots with y’all. The little woodsy details sprinkled throughout were some of my favorite parts, but the absolute best part was being surrounded by about 45 of their closest friends and both of our families to celebrate them and their little one on the way. He is already so loved, and I just can’t wait to become an aunt soon!!
