Otis’ 1 Year Milestone Session – Piedmont Park | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

Otis and his family are lucky enough to live just a couple blocks from Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta, so I met them at their house and we wandered over to the park for his one year session last month. They also brought along their precious nanny, who is one of Otis’ favorite people. It takes a village to raise a child, and I love that his parents wanted to include her in some of the photos for this big milestone birthday. He gave me smiles for days and could have practiced walking all over that park if we had let him. Happy 1st birthday, Otis!

Carolina’s 1 Year Milestone Session – Suwanee | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

Carolina turned one in May and is the happiest little girl. Her mom Nikki told me that one of the reasons they moved out to Gwinnett was for the parks, and I can see why. We shot on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at one of their nearby parks, and I just couldn’t get enough of this cutie. To say she LOVED the balloons we used would be an understatement… we almost couldn’t get them away from her until we brought out her smash cake, which was probably equally as exciting for her. 😉 She was absolutely covered in pink icing when we finished! My kind of girl! Carolina is also getting ready to become a big sister this fall, and I love that we were able to capture some shots of her with mama and her baby bump. Such an exciting year coming up for the M family!

Coleman’s Newborn Session – Chamblee | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

I was so excited to meet Coleman for his newborn session! His mom, Anna, was one of my first friends in college (we lived on the same hall in an all girls dorm), and we’ve kept in touch with a small group of girlfriends ever since. It’s hard to believe we’ve been friends for almost 16 years, and now we’re growing our own little families. Time sure does fly, doesn’t it?

Coleman is named after two of his grandmothers, which I just adore. He was awake and bright-eyed for most of our session, but he thoroughly enjoyed being wrapped up and held by each of his parents. Anna and Joseph chose to use a couple baby blankets that had been given to them, as well as a beautiful day gown made by Joseph’s mother. I love being able to include sentimental items in photos that will be remembered and looked back upon by them and their families for years to come. Enjoy some of my favorite shots from Coleman’s first session!

Reagan’s Newborn Session – Johns Creek | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Being invited back to a family’s home to photograph their newest addition is one of the most sincere compliments I can receive. The P family welcomed Reagan right around her big sister’s 2nd birthday, and it’s hard to believe it has already been 2 years since I was with them photographing her newborn session. Mama Rebecca clearly has a talent for decorating nurseries, and I am in love with both of her girls’ rooms!  Sweet, subtle themes that incorporate a lot of white… and lots of great natural light — a photographer’s dream! I also adore the flowy tent hanging in the corner. Can’t we all have one of those in our rooms? Reagan was a sleepy angel and couldn’t have been easier to work with. It’s clear that she’s very loved by her parents and big sis!

Nolan’s 2 Year Milestone Session – Smyrna | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

I have a special place in my heart for this little guy who just turned two! Nolan is the son of one of my best friends, and he is seriously one of the cutest children I’ve ever seen. Look at that head of hair! He is one loved little guy — his grandparents, whom I also adore, come to each of his sessions because they just can’t get enough of him. But who could? Nolan has such a sweet personality, and it’s been a joy watching him grow alongside my daughter Leighton, who is just 4 months younger than him. We can only hope that they will continue to be friends as they get older, too. Happy 2nd birthday, Nolan! I know it’s going to be an exciting year going into full-on toddlerhood!
