Sadie Kate’s 3 Year Milestone Session – Roswell | Atlanta Childrens Photographer

Oh, those blonde curls! I know a lot of ladies (including myself) who would just love to have a head of hair like Sadie Kate’s, but I digress… she just turned 3 in August, so we did a slightly belated 3 year photo session with her parents at my favorite spot in the Atlanta area. It was surprisingly empty the morning we shot, and it was one of the first days of nice, somewhat cool weather in the early fall. We had fun just wandering the park and chatting… my favorite way to do a session! It’s hard to believe these friends of mine have a daughter who is well into her toddler years already… and what a pleasure it is to have the honor of documenting it.

Remy’s Newborn Session – Marietta | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Remy was welcomed by her parents and bis sister Lainey on her due date, September 14th, and she is just the beautiful little angel. I’ve been friends with her beautiful mama since our freshman year of college, and it just gets better and better to watch her family grow. Her big sis Lainey was so sweet during her newborn session, but she wanted no part of cuddling up with her for some sibling shots. We tried again once more right before we finished up, and she crawled right over to Remy and looked down at her with so much interest and adoration. We couldn’t have planned it better. 🙂 Welcome to the world, Remy. I’m excited to watch you grow and change in your first year!

BOO! Halloween 2017

I think it’s safe to say that after this year, our daughter Leighton is officially a big fan of Halloween. She still didn’t quite get the whole trick-or-treat concept, but she loved wearing her Olympic Gymnast costume and walking the beam (the curb around the neighborhood) and doing somersaults all over the grass. We dressed as her proud parents in our USA t-shirts, and our dog Coco even participated with an American flag bandana. We decorated her wagon to look like the podium for the medal ceremony, where she of course took home the gold. Team LL all the way!

Leighton wasn’t even the slightest bit scared of the spooky decorations at our neighbors’ homes, and she had the time of her life running around at our neighborhood potluck with her best friend. The only house she wanted to get candy from was our next door neighbors, who are so sweet and just adore her and Coco — they even brought over a Halloween treat bag for them earlier in the day. She’s still sleeping with her stuffed ghost. 🙂 She ran between their house and ours no less than 20 times, grabbing a handful of fun sized candies and bringing them back to stash in her “putt dot” (pumpkin) treat bag. I think she would have stayed out there all night had we let her. We also ended up with more candy than we started out with, thanks to her shenanigans.

Each holiday we’ve celebrated this year has been so magical with Leighton, and Halloween is no exception. Enjoy some of my favorite shots from our holiday!

Patrick’s Senior Session – NW Atlanta | Atlanta Senior Photographer

Until last month, I had not had the opportunity to photograph any high school seniors, so I was pretty excited to venture outside my comfort zone a little with Patrick’s session. We met up at one of my favorite local spots, which has a great mix of greenery and cool, old brick buildings that are remnants from the cotton mill that used to be housed there. I loved having some more funky and industrial backdrops for this type of client. He is a baseball player and is also in both the marching and jazz bands at school — talk about a busy guy! Patrick — I hope you have an amazing, memorable senior year, and I wish you all the best on your next adventure with college!

Kate’s 1 Year Milestone Session – Smyrna | Atlanta Childrens Photographer

Kate is one! We shot her milestone session with her mama Jaime last month just before she turned one, and we had such a fun morning letting her run around before she got to dive into her cake. Cake was definitely her favorite part of our time together, and I can’t blame her one bit. I am always a little envious of the children I photograph who get to do cake smashes… totally wishing I could be digging into the cake with them! 🙂
Happy (belated) 1st birthday, Kate! I’m sure this year is going to be the most exciting yet.
