Leighton’s 3 Year Milestone Session – Smyrna | Atlanta Childrens Photographer

My baby is THREE. In so many ways, this third year of her life has flown by infinitely faster than the first two did. Big surprise, right? We’re on the go most days, and she has just started preschool two days a week… which she absolutely loves! She’s big into pretend play right now, so we spend a lot of our time having pretend birthday parties and eating play food that she cooks for us. With each passing month and year, I am more and more grateful for the blessing of staying home with her during this sweet, exhausting phase of life — all while running a business I truly love. I say it with every phase, but this is truly the most fun age so far. It’s bittersweet to watch her getting so big… but it’s even more amazing to watch her grow into her own person.  Leighton Lane, we wish you the happiest of birthdays! We love you “the whole world and the fishies in the sea,” as you say. Thank you for making us parents three years ago, and thank you for making every day my favorite day.

Baby Girl Davis | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

When your best friends have babies, it’s one of the best things in the world. And when you get the opportunity to photograph them in their first days, it’s icing on the cake. Davis Snow was named after family and has the most amazing head of dark hair. She was an absolute angel during our session… in fact, I didn’t hear one peep out of her the entire time I was there. Her room was so serene and peaceful, and I loved some of the special touches they included. Daddy is a huge music lover, so he chose some favorite song lyrics and they framed them on a wall in her nursery. There are pretty pops of soft pink, which perfectly matched Mama’s dress (which I wanted to take home with me).

I had the best time loving on her and visiting with her parents while photographing them in their beautiful Nashville home. I just wish it wasn’t a four hour drive, or I’d be over there all the time squeezing on that little lady.  Welcome to the world, Davis! We love you to pieces and are so happy you are here.

Hello, Mia | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Andrea and Tommy welcomed their first born, a darling little girl named Mia, to the world in June. Mia has the most beautiful nursery, complete with this stunning floral piece hanging over her crib — made by her own grandmother! I can’t tell you how many people have commented on that piece since I posted a photo from this session on social media. I’m thinking she needs to open an Etsy shop! 🙂 She was nothing but an angel during her session — so quiet and happy. And their pup, Hendrix, totally tried to steal the show… I mean, look how cute he is with that pink bow tie in honor of his baby sister! I just loved everything about this session, from the family to the decor to the fantastic natural lighting in their home. I hope you enjoy some of my many favorites.

Baby Sawyer | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Sawyer was born earlier this summer, and there is no questioning that she’s related to her mama and big sister with that beautiful red hair. I’ve been photographing this sweet, sweet family since Leslie was pregnant with her first baby, and it’s been such a treat getting to see their family grow. It’s always an honor being invited into my clients’ homes, and it’s even better when I feel like I’m just hanging out with friends while I happen to be working. 🙂 Sawyer’s fairy-themed nursery had the prettiest light from those big windows, and we spent the whole session shooting in there. Enjoy some favorites from this summer newborn session.

Connor is One | Atlanta Family Photographer

I love shooting outdoors… in fact, I’d say 90% of my family and milestone sessions take place outside in local parks, on cool streets, or in clients’ backyards (I even recently did a family session at Oakland Cemetery!). I do love a good excuse for an in-home session, though. On this particular day, it was dreary and drizzling, so our plan for indoor photos worked well anyway. My favorite spot in their house was actually the landing on their stairs because there was a large window that allowed a pocket of light to stream right in on these cutie pie siblings. This session was the last of a Baby’s First Year plan for Connor, so we celebrated him turning one with balloons and a smash cake. The way he looks at big sis Caitlyn is heart-melting, and she’s just as adorable herself. And Connor is an absolute master cake smasher. I have had such a great time getting to know this family over the past year. Enjoy some favorites from Connor’s one year session.
